A few days ago I discovered that Depeche Mode are playing in Bratislava the day after the Nova Rock festival. So what? I hear you ask. Well, Bratislava is approx 60km from Vienna, so it is feasible to go there just for a concert. My only issue is figuring out transport back from the concert because the late night trains all seem to end on the other side of Vienna. Well, that and the fact that I will probably be exhausted after 3 days at Nova Rock. The set list from the first two shows of their tour (before it got postponed due to Dave Gahan’s tumour) look really good though.
I am leaning towards going since the “Tour of the Universe” does not appear to include Australia, so it may be the only opportunity I have to see them. I still have 3 weeks before the concert, so I can think about it a bit longer. Maybe this clip will help me decide…
*update 01/06: I bought my Depeche Mode ticket today. Bratislava, here I come!
